From selecting the right wax and fragrance to pouring and decorating your candles. Jaz Founder and CEO of Blk Sunflower will guide you every step of the way. Whether you're a seasoned candle maker or a complete beginner, this interactive class will be hosted online and in person and is designed to inspire and educate.
On average candle, testing takes 3-8 months and can cost thousands of dollars. Finding the right formulas can be frustrating, especially when you just want to get your business started. With this MasterClass, you can cut that learning curve down exponentially!

No Refunds. If you are not able to attend class you will be given a credit for a future class. If you purchase the in person class and there is not another in person class in 6 months from the original scheduled date, you will be refunded the difference between the online and in person class, based on whether you purchased the class at the early bird or standard price.
A copy of the zoom class will be provided 7 days after the class. A professional Copy of the Class Recording will be provided 30-60 days after the class. If for any reason I am not able to provide a recording this will not constitute a refund.
Your candle making kit will be shipping out to arrive before the online class. If you are taking the class in person, your kit will be waiting for you when you arrive to class.

In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, candles DO NOT come with lids. If you would like a lid you can add them to your order for free.
Custom Coconut-Soy Wax Blend

Unbleached Cotton Wicks
Trim your wick to about 1/4" before each burn. To extend the life of your candle extinguish the flame after 4 hours and trim the wick. This will ensure a long lasting candle, minimize soot and remove any mushrooming of carbon on the end of the wick.
Extinguish your candle by placing a lid on the candle or dipping the wick into the melted wax and straighten. This will stop the wick from smoking and will help with re-lighting.
Extreme temperature fluctuations can cause sweating. This is normal, wipe off the excess moisture, or burn you candle.
On the first burn allow the wax to melt all the way to the sides of the container. This should take 1-3 hours. Failure to do this will often cause tunneling which can limit the life of your candle.
If tunneling occurs set your oven to 175°F, and place candle in for about 5 minutes to allow the wax to level out. Remove any excess wax if needed.
11oz Matte Blk Wooden Wick Candle - 85hr Burn Time
9oz Signature Marbled Candle - 75hr Burn Time
17oz Three Wick Candle- 65hr Burn Time
Note: Three wick burn faster but have the furthest scent throw
Burn times are based off 4 hour burns. If you burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time results will vary.
